The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a plea that sought the conduct of 'puja' in the undisputed Ayodhya lands.
"You will not let this country live in peace... Somebody has to always poke, " the apex court told the petitioner.
The court also refused to withdraw the Allahabad High Court orders imposing a Rs 5 lakh cost on the petitioner.
On March 8, the supreme court had appointed a mediation committee for resolving the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case.
In its hearing, the court had also restrained the media from reporting proceedings of mediation in the Ayodhya case.
The court-appointed committee held its first sitting on March 13 and heard all parties who attended the proceedings.
The court was hearing appeals against the September 30, 2010 verdict of the Allahabad High Court which ordered a three-way division of the disputed 2.77 acres of the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid site in Ayodhya between the Nirmohi Akhara sect, the Sunni Central Waqf Board, Uttar Pradesh and Ramlalla Virajman.
