One terrorist was gunned down and another captured after an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in J&K's Baramulla district. The encounter took place in Baramulla'sBomai area. Reports said firing had stopped and search operation was underway.

4.5-magnitude earthquake hits J&K, no casualties

A medium intensity earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale hit Jammu and Kashmir early today, the IMD said. According to the National Seismology Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the earthquake occurred at 4:28 am(local time) at a depth of 33 km.
