Uttar Pradesh Police while being pleased with the successful crackdown of criminals quoted a famous Bollywood movie's line on Twitter.

While sharing a picture of a collageof criminals surroundingvoluntarily they tweeted ''police senahi, crime se dar lagta hai saheb'' which translates to ''It’s not the police I’m afraid of, it’s the crime I fear.”'

Reportedly the tweet came a day after of news reports saying that due to the ongoing encounters by UP police, two repeat offenders of Kairana town walked into the police station with a placardreading '' I will not commit a crime.''

Reportedly Uttar Pradesh police have launched a drive against the criminals which has witnessed several offenders surrendering itself to the police.

According to media reports, the encounters have taken place in Bulandshahr, Shamli, Kanpur, Saharanpur, Lucknow, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Gorakhpur, Hapur and Meerut.
