The three boys and the girl attended the same school. When the police questioned the boys, they admitted to have raped and killed the girl.

The accused said that they saw the girl playing in the park and took her to an isolated area on the pretext of showing her a new playground, where they took turns to rape her.

Fearing that the girl might tell her parents about the crime, they killed her and dumped her body in the nearby canal, admitted the boys to the police.
