Terrorists on Sunday hurled a grenade at a house of a National Conference leader Gulam Nabi Bhat in Kashmir's terrorist-infested town of Tralin Pulwama district, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) said.

One personnel of the CRPF has been injured in the incident.

The attack comes days after a PDP worker was shot dead by a Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist in the state's Shopian district. A group of people set ablaze his house the next day.

Earlier in the day, awoman was shot dead and another injured after terrorists fired upon them in Tral.

The incident occurred in the town's Seer village, ANI reported, adding that a search operation is underway.

Earlier in the day, a terrorist was killed in an encounter with the security forces in Handwara town in Kupwara district.

The terrorist is suspected to be from the Pakistan-based terrorist outfit, the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET), police said.

Two other terrorists who accompanied him managed to escape.

The same day, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire across the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district's Uri sector.

The ceasefire violation took place in Uri's Kamalkote area for the second consecutive day, an Army official told PTI.

No casualties have been reported in today's firing so far, the official said.
