Sunni Waqf board seeks to withdraw from Ayodhya title dispute

The top court has been hearing the case for the past thirty-nine days. 

On the last day of hearing in the Supreme Court in the Ayodhya case, the Sunni Waqf board which is one of the petitioners sought to withdraw from the Ayodhya title dispute.

The mediation panel informed India's highest court about the Waqf board’s decision as a five-judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice of India(CJI) Ranjan Gogoi began its hearing in the Ayodhya case in the Supreme Court today.

The top court has been hearing the case for the past thirty-nine days, today is the fortieth day of the hearing. 

The hearing is likely to end today.

CJI Ranjan Gogoi during the hearing dismissed intervention application of one of the parties Hindu Maya Sabha in the Ayodhya land case. 

"This matter is going to be over by 5pm today. Enough is enough," CJI Ranjan Gogoi said.
