The biopic series set to hit the TV screens from February 12

The mega premiere of the show "Swami Ramdev: Ek Sangharsh"', based on the life of Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev, was held at Delhi's Chhatrasal Stadium on Saturday.

The event was attended by Baba Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishan, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and other Union Ministers.

The 60-minute TV serial is based on thenever before seen life journey of Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev. Over 20,000 people will participate in the screening, which will be telecast on the Discovery Jeet, the entertainment channel from Discovery India.

Speaking at the event, yoga guru Baba Ramdev said,"With the help of Modiji and Amitji, we will change the world. In the coming years, efforts will be made to re-establish the Vedic education of the country. "

"The life that Swamiji has preached will now be a part of television. People around the world will be able to learn and know about him. I congratulate Discovery Channel as well as the entire cast for the show," said Acharya Balkrishan in the event.

Speaking at the event, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley lauded Baba Ramdev's efforts in popularising the ancient practice of yoga.

"Swami Ramdev has contributed a lot to this country and society. His contribution has been immense in the field of yoga, he took this ancient practice to each and every household in this country," said Arun Jaitley.

"He first emerged as a yoga teacher and it became a mass movement in India. At that time it seemed he is just a yoga teacher but he was also a social activist. Swamiji emerged as a voice of those oppressed due to corruption," added Jaitley.

BJP President Arun Jaitley said that Swami Ramdev gave the option of "swadeshi"to the nation.

"In a short life, Baba Ramdev revived Yoga and Ayurveda not only in India but in the entire world at a time when it was almost forgotten. He gave the option of 'swadeshi' to the nation by the means of Patanjali," said Amit Shah.
