The Pune Police arrested the grandfather of theteenager,who crushed two techies under his Porsche car while driving and killedthem,for confining the family driverin wrongful ways and forcing him to take the blame for the accident.
According toreports, the police can also slap kidnapping charges against the teen's grandfatherSurendraAgarwal.
On Friday (May 24), Pune Police said that the family had started forcing the driver to take the blame minutes after the accident occurred in which Aneesh Awadhiya and his partner Ashwini Koshtawere killed.
As per the report, thedriverwas lockedby the grandfatherandwas appealedto take the blame in place of the minor.Thedriverwas also assuredthat he would be released scot-free in the case, as per the reports.
Speaking to the media, CP Pune AmiteshKumar said, "The grandfather of the minor accused has been arrested by the Crime Branch unit of Pune Police.Aseparate FIR hasbeen registeredagainst him under IPC 365 and 368."
The police arrested Agarwal from his residenceat 3 am after registering a new case with the Pune crime branch.Thisis the third FIRwhich hasbeenfiledin the Pune Porsche crash case.
Surendra Agarwal wasearlierquestioned by the Pune crime branchto know more about his son andgrandson,and what conversations they had on the day of the accident.
The driver came to the scene after the juvenile's fatherVishalAgarwalclaimed thatit was their family driver whowas behind the wheel when the accident happened.
The driver was also interrogated by the policeafterwhich Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar confirmed the attemptsbeing madeto frame the innocent family driver.

According to CBI, Surendra Agarwal has also been facing trial in a shootout case for allegedly making payments to gangster Chhota Rajan.
In his statement to police, the driver said that he received a call from the grandfather of the teenager soon after the accident. "He first called me up and shouted at me over the phone. Then, he forcibly took me to their bungalow in their BMW car," said the driver.
He added that his mobile phone was snatched by the father and grandfather of the teenager and hewas confined to the bungalow. "I was told to take the blame. He told me, 'If you talk to anyone about this, remember...'," he said.
Meanwhile,Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said,"Pressure was created on him. After the accident, the driver was questioned at the police station. When the questioning was over, he wanted to go home, but he (the teen's grandfather) forcibly took him to their home, snatched his phone and confined him."
In the Pune Porsche car crash case, the juvenile was given bail fifteen hours after driving the car at a speed of more than 200km per hour in a drunk state and killing two software engineers on a bike in the early hours of Sunday (May 19).
He was granted bail on several conditionswhichincluded writing a300-word essay on road safety and working with the traffic police for 15 days, which led to a public outcry.
Now, the bail granted to the teenager hasbeen cancelledby the Justice Juvenile Board in the hit-and-run caseandhe hasbeen sentto a Rehabilitation/Observation home till June 5.
