Mukesh Ambani, advocates Arundhati Katju and Menaka Guruswamy in TIME magazine's list of 100 most influential people

Indian business bigwig and Reliance Industries (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani has been featured in TIME magazine's list of 100 most influential people. 

The other Indians featured in the magazine this time around include Arundhati Katju and Menaka Guruswamy, advocates who led the legal battle for LGBTQ rights in India.

The list was released on Wednesday and includes world leaders like US President Donald Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Pope Francis and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg also found a spot on the list.

The personalities who made to the cover of the Time Magazine include wrestler, actor Dwayne Johnson; American diplomat Nancy Pelosi; American journalist and TV personality Gayle King, Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah; international pop star Taylor Swift and Golden Globe-winning actress Sandra Oh

Slain Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi and other journalists were named Time magazine's "Person of the Year" last year.  

The other journalists on the list included Philippine journalist Maria Ressa, a fierce critic of Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs, Reuters reporters Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo -- currently imprisoned in Myanmar -- and the staff of the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland, including five members killed in a June shooting.
