Maruti Suzuki introduces new diesel engine in Ertiga, price starts at Rs 9.86 lakhs

Maruti Suzuki India launchedan in house developednew diesel engine in its Ertiga on Tuesday.
The automobile manufacturer introduced a 1.5-litre DDIS 225 diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission in the Next Gen Ertiga.
The price of the car with the new feature ranges from Rs 9.86 lakh to Rs 11.20 lakh.
The VDi model of the car is available at Rs 9.86 lakhs, the ZDi at Rs 10.69 lakhs and the ZDi+ model at Rs 11.20 lakhs.
The company claims that the new launch will bring superior gear shift feel and provide a smooth driving experience.
The engine, developed in-house, uses ‘Dual Mass flywheel’ which helps to reduce engine fluctuations.

“Considering the requirements of evolving customers, the Next Gen Ertiga is now offered with new 1.5-litre Diesel engine. The new engine is a perfect combination of performance and refinement. It showcases Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to provide products aligned with customers aspirations. We are sure this new engine option will strengthen the popularity of Ertiga in urban MPV segment, " he added.
With 39 per cent market share, Maruti Suzuki’s Next Gen Ertiga is popular among the country's youth.
Launched in November 2018, the Next Gen Ertiga became an instant hit with customers selling over 40,000 units in Nov-April period.
