The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday (Aug 25) raided 15 locations, including the residential premises of former RG Kar Medical College principal Sandip Ghosh, in connection to the horror murder-rape of a trainee doctor.
After the murder-rape incident first came to light, a case alleging financial irregularities at the Kolkata hospital has beenfiled against Ghosh, who seemingly has close relations with the upper echelons of Trinamool Congress (TMC) -- the ruling party in the state.
According to reports, the hospitalunder Ghosh was allegedly carrying out various illegal activities, that even included selling dead bodies.RG Kar Medical College's former deputy superintendent Akhtar Ali claimed that Ghosh was carrying out the trafficking of medical supplies and biomedical waste to Bangladesh.
While the CBI raids took place early on Sunday morning, the polygraph test of the main accused, Sanjay Roy, beganaround noon in Kolkata.
According to sources, this test involves three types of questions: relevant, irrelevant, and control questions. Some of the questions being posed to Roy are:
An expert team from Delhi arrived in the capital city of West Bengal on Saturday (Aug 24) and conducted tests on four others. A total of seven people will be taking the polygraph test, which is expected to be completed on Sunday itself.
Roy, the main accused in this case, was on Friday sent to 14 days of judicial custody. He will remain in custody until September 6, under the supervision of CBI.

Investigators in the case released the CCTV footage of Sanjay Roy entering the hospital on the night of August 9, hours before he committed the gruesome crime.
The footage showed Roy entering with a Bluetooth earphone wrapped around his neck. This same Bluetooth earphone was found near the crime scene.
