Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal late Friday afternoon.

Their meeting came after a landmark Supreme Court judgement Wednesday saying the Delhi government's decisions did not require the concurrence of the LG who only needed to be informed of the decisions.

Delhi's AAP government has consistently accused the LG of stonewalling its decisions and the Centre of using the LG as a proxy in its battle with the AAP.

There seemed to be some progress after their meeting Friday, but the turf war between the CM and the LG also continues.

One of the biggest battles between the two has been control of the Services Department — or who between the two is the final authority when it comes to the appointment and transfer of Delhi's officials. The two sides continue to argue the point despite the SC judgement.

Kejriwal, after meeing Baijal, said the Lieutenant Governor did not agree control of the Services Department should be handed over to the Delhi government.

Kejriwal added that the LG had asked the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and it had told him (the LG) the department should not be handed over to the Delhi government.

Kejriwal said that this was therefore the first time in the history of India that the Central government was refusing, openly, to obey a Supreme Court order. And that it would lead to anarchy.

Kejriwal however added that the LG had agreed to the Delhi government's doorstep delivery of rations scheme. Kejriwal said Baijal had told him he could go ahead with the scheme without even sending him (the LG) the file.

Kejirwal added that the LG likewise had had little problem with the Delhi government's plan to install 1.4 lakh CCTVs around the city, or to the sanctioning of the payment of a final instalment for Delhi's Signature bridge.
