TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, who led his party to a resounding victory in the assembly elections, sworn in as the Chief Minister of Telangana for the second consecutive time.

Governor ESL Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.

Mohammed Mahmood Ali, a member of Telangana Legislative Council, also took oath as a Minister.

Ali, who was Deputy Chief Minister in the previous cabinet, is likely to retain the same post.

In the December 7 elections, the TRS won 88 seats in the 119-member assembly, trouncing the Congress-led People's Front, which ended up with a tally of 21.

A day before the swearing ceremony traffic police issued an advisory asking the public to avoid the Raj Bhavan road between 12 pm and 3 pm and take alternative routes to their destinations.
