As the BJP prepares to form the government in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh -- as suggested by the ongoing counting trends -- Union Minister Smriti Irani, among many other party leaders, expressed delight over BJP's performance in both states.
Smriti Irani praised Congress' performance and noted that in the end what matters is who won. "jo jeeta wohi sikandar. It is the victory of every booth worker's hard work & the people who trusted development," she told ANI.

BJP headquarters in New Delhi and party offices all across Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat is in a festive mode with party workers, supporters and royalists celebrating the much-anticipated win.
PM Modi was seen flashing the victory sign as he reached Parliament earlier today.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh looked exhilarated and noted, "Will form Government in both Himachal and Gujarat with a clear majority".
