Reliance Jio on Wednesday unveiled its Republic Day offer wherein it reduced the prices of its plans and increased the data limit by 500 MB for its users. Jio's popular 399 rupee plan with 70 days of validity with the data limit of 1 GB per day, will now cost 349 with same validity days but with 1.5 GB of data per day. The 98 rupees of recharge pack validity will be increased to 28 days from 14. The plans that have 1.5 Gb data per day will be enhanced to 2 Gb in the Republic Day offer. The new offers will definitely step up the tariff war, with rival company Airtel which is also offering 399 plan with the validity of 84 days and daily data limit of 1 GB. The offers would come into effect from January 26 onwards. According to media reports Reliance Jio, made a profit of 504 crores during the October-December quarter against Bharti airtel's 306 crores.
