Under the expert guidance of the medical team, a successful cord division and placental delivery were performed on board the moving train, facilitating the safe arrival of a baby girl.

Following the delivery, both mother and newborn were transferred to a hospital for further medical attention and observation, ensuring their well-being.

In a similar incident, a medical professional, K Swathi Reddy, assisted in delivering a baby on board the Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Duronto Superfast Express in Andhra Pradesh's Anakapalle district. Despite lacking proper medical equipment, Reddy used her expertise to ensure a smooth delivery process, emphasising the importance of preparedness during such emergencies.

While Reddy faced constraints such as the absence of surgical instruments and warm water, she managed to ensure the newborn's comfort by wrapping her in warm clothing.

The couple, Satyanarayana and Satyavathi, hailing from Ponnam village in Vizianagaram district, were en route from Hyderabad to their native village when the unexpected birth occurred.
