At least five people have died after a major fire broke early on Monday morning ina restaurant in Bengaluru.

Reports said five employees sleeping inside died in the fire.

The restaurant named Kailash bar situated inKumbaara Sangha building caught fire at 2:30am.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Two fire tendersand one rescue vehicle reached the spot immediately and the fire was put off.

Reports said the owner of the restaurant RV Dayashankar has been absconding after a call from the police.

Swami, 23-years from Tumkur.

Prasad, 20-year-old from Tumkur.

Manjunath, 45-year-old from of Hassan.

Keerthi, 24-year-old from Mandya.

Mahesh, 35-year-old from Tumkur.
