Congress President Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to inform "friends in the BJP social media" that he will be out of India for some days.
In his tweet on Sunday, Gandhi said he will be accompanying his mother and former party president Sonia Gandhi for her medical check-up.
The tweetspecifically addressed to the "BJP social media troll army" was seen as an attempt to evade any kind of criticism from the opposition.
Rahul Gandhi has often been a subject of ridicule because of his foreign visits.
According to media reports, Sonia Gandhi along with her son will leave for abroad tonight.
While Rahul is expected to return within a week, Sonia Gandhi may have tostay out of India for a longer period.
