Arvind Kejriwal-led government has decided to halt its arrangement of giving out rations as Aadhaar-based distribution in Delhi.
According to reports, people were are facing difficulties in procuring commodities from fair price shops under Delhi government's Aadhaar-based distribution move which was taken up last month.
The Aadhaar-based e-PoS machines make use of Aadhaar biometric identification to make sure that a ration card-holdergets his/her allotted share of grains.

The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal earlier today.
Deputy Chief MinisterManish Sisodiareasoned the implementation of the electronic Point of Sale (e-PoS) devices by the Ration Department to differ with the government's move of online ration distribution in 2,254 fair price shops.
Sisodia noted that the "faulty implementation of the system" has resulted in problems for the locals who were not able to get their ration.
