Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama was discharged from Delhi hospital on Friday, his personal spokesman said, three days after being admitted with what an aide called a "light cough".
"He was discharged from the hospital at 8 o'clock in the morning," Tenzin Taklha told. "He is doing very well now."
Dalai Lama was admitted to hospital with chest infection on Tuesday.
The 83-year-old, a globally revered figure and recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, had come to Delhi from Dharamshala for a check-up at the Max Hospital in Saket.
The 14th Dalai Lama was in Delhi for attending a global learning conference that ended on April 6. He returned to Dharamshala from New Delhi on Monday.
The Dalai Lama had fled to India in early 1959 to escape from Chinese occupation and lives in exile in the hill town of Dharamshala.
