The investigating agency questioned Lalu and Rabri's son and former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav for over four hours in connection with a railway hotel tender case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday carried out searches at the house of Rabri Devi, wife of imprisoned RJD chief Lalu Yadav. The investigating agency also questioned Lalu and Rabri's son and former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav for over four hours in connection with a railway hotel tender case.
The CBI had registered an FIR against Lalu Prasad Yadav in July last year.
The FIR lodged by the CBI against Lalu Yadav stated that there were irregularities in awarding the tender for development, maintenance and operation of the BNR hotels in Ranchi and Pune during his tenure as the railway minister from 2004-2009.
The CBI alleged that the tender process was manipulated and changed by Lalu to help a private company.
The investigating agency has registered a corruption case against former Lalu Prasad and his family members, including Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav.
Lalu Yadav is currently in jail after his conviction in the Fodder Scam cases against him.
