Arijit Shashwat, accused in the Bhagalpur communal violence case, was released from Bhagalpur jail earlier today after being granted bail.
An arrest warrant was issued against Shashwat and eight others in a communal clash case on March 17.
Arijit Shashwat was arrested in Patna for his alleged involvement in the Bhagalpur communal clashes late night on March 31.
Shashwat, son of Union Minister Ashwini Choubey, was denied bail on March 31. He was then sent to judicial custody for 14-days. A local court on April 9 finally granted him bail.
Clashes broke out after Shashwat led a rally of saffron-clad youths in Nathnagar, Patna. Some people objected to the loud music that was being played during the procession. Several were injured while shops were vandalised.
