
A feud between the neighbouring families in Bengaluru in India's southern state of Karnataka escalated so much so that both parties ended up filing complaints against each other with the police authorities, media reports said.
The bone of contention? A window that thecomplainant, a 44-year-old woman, said that anewlywed couple next door used to keep open while they shared intimate moments. The incident is reportedly from Avalahalli area in south Bengaluru's Girinagar.
As per the woman, the neighbours persistently left their bedroom window open. She lodged a police complaint against the couple. The woman's home was faced directly to the couple's bedroom.

The situation seems to be further exacerbated as the woman claimed that the couple responded to her request to close the window with threats and verbal abuse. The couple, as per the woman passed menacing remarks and tried to frighten her with rape threats.
She also alleged that the landlord of the building where the couple was tenants also attempted to assault her. The 44-year-old also claimed that the landlord's son also tried the same tactic to intimidate her, media reports said.

In response to the complaint, authorities registered a First Information Report (FIR) under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including intentional insult, criminal intimidation, and insult to the modesty of a woman.
However, the landlord rebutted the allegations. The landlord asserted that the woman was instigating conflicts with their tenants in an attempt to force them out of the property.

In a tit-for-tat move, the landlord filed a counter-complaint. The landlord, as per reports, accused the woman of harassment and intentionally creating disturbances to pressurisetheir tenants into vacating.
Presently, both complaints are under investigation by the police as they look into the discord between the neighbouring households.
