Two encounters broke out between Indian security forces and terrorists on Sunday (Nov 10) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir (J-K).
The first encounter began inSrinagar. In a post on X, the Kashmir Zone Police said, "A joint Police and security forces operation was launched in Zabarwan forest area of Srinagar based on specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists."

"An exchange of fire ensued during the operation. Further details will follow," the Kashmir Zone Police added.

Hours later, the news agency ANI reported that an encounter broke out in the Keshawan area of Kishtwar. According to the police, three to four terrorists were believed to be trapped in the area.
"Encounter begins at Keshwan Kishtwar between terrorists and Security forces. 3/4 terrorists believed to be trapped. This is the same group which killed the 2 innocent villagers," the police said.
As per ANI reports, this is the third incident of exchange of fire in the last 24 hours.
These fresh encounters in the Valley came as one terrorist was killed in the ongoing operation with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore on Saturday evening.
Three terrorists, including wanted Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) 'commander' Usman Lashkari, were killed in two separate anti-militancy operations in Kashmir on Monday (Nov2).
