At least 20 bodies of people have been recoveredafter a boat capsizedinAndhra Pradesh onSunday.
The incident occurred at around 5:45 pm at river Krishna's Pavitra Sangamam ghat in the state.
The injured persons have been sent to Andhra hospital in Vijayawada.
The boat capsized midway due to overloading with the weight of 38 passengers, the police official said.

The incident happened when a private tourism boat was making a trip from Punnami Ghat, Bhavanipuram, to Pavitra Sangamam, Ferry village, the official said.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister N China Rajappa, leader of opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and others expressed their grief over the tragedy.
The government has appointed a senior committee to investigate into the matter.
