''We are ready to debate on all issues but it is the opposition which doesn't want the House to function,'' Shah said in the rally.

Accusing the opposition party of levelling baseless allegations against the BJP, he questioned the contribution of Rahul Gandhi towards the development of Assam.

''BJP wants to ensure Assam's progress through development. Congress leaders including their party president had visited North East for rallies and had passed baseless allegations on us. I want to ask Rahul Gandhi, what did he do for Assam's development in last 10 years?'' Amit Shah said.

Shah added that the party would win more than 21 seats out of the 25 seats of the northeast in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The Congress on Friday gave a notice for moving a no-confidence motion against the NDA government and wanted it to be taken up in Lok Sabha on March 27.

According to Congress sources, the party submitted the notice in the office of the Lok Sabha Secretary General.

The party has also issued a three-line whip to all its members in Lok Sabha to ensure their presence on Tuesday when the House meets again.

The motion will be moved by Congress leader in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, who is reaching out to other opposition parties to garner support for the motion, they said.
