Zee News AI Exit Poll

Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: The numbers are in and the verdict is out. Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance is returning to power for third term in a row but with reduced majority. All Exit Polls got the election results outrightly wrong on June 1 when the voting concluded with the seventh phase of polling in the world's biggest election exercise so far.

But amongst all imprecise Exit Polls, there has been an outlier and that's an AI Exit Poll by Zee Media.

In yet another proof of growing precision of Artificial Intelligence in politics, the AI exit poll conducted by Zee Media forecastedthat the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would secure 305-315 seats. The Zee AI Exit Poll predicted that the INDIA bloc would secure180-195 seats. What is more interesting is that it was presented by an AI-based virtual anchor, Zeenia.

The Zee AI Exit Poll has been closest to the actual results.

Exit Poll results

On June 2, Zee Media launched an AI-powered Exit Poll, in a one-of-its-kind use ofArtificial Intelligence for predicting the elections.

All other Exit polls for the Lok Sabha 2024 elections were way off the mark this time with the opposition INDIA bloc – whose rout they had predicted – winning 234 seats with good showing in Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.

The performance of the BJP-led NDA (292 seats) was far below the forecast of exit polls other than the one given by Zee AI Exit Poll.

Most other Exit Polls had predicted Modi-led NDA winning over 350 seats, with Today's Chanakya predicting even 400 seats for the alliance.
