Lok Sabha Elections, Phase 4: The world’s largest democracy is undergoing one of its biggest elections. The polling for the general elections in 2024 started on April 19, which was the first of the seven-phase elections. Several states in India are now voting in the fourth phase of the election on Monday (May 13).
The elections will conclude on June 1 and counting of votes will be done on June 4.
The first phase of the polling covered 102 constituencies of 21 states and union territories (UTs). Ten states and UTs were fully covered, while 11 states and UTs were partially covered.

In the second phase, with 88 seats contested, the final turnout stood at 66.71 per cent, showing a decrease of approximately 3 percentage points from 2019.
In this phase, a total of 96 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across 10 states and one union territory will go to polls.
The states in the fourth phase are Andhra Pradesh (25), Bihar (5), Jammu and Kashmir (1), Jharkhand (4), Madhya Pradesh (8), Maharashtra (11), Odisha (4), Telangana (17), Uttar Pradesh (13), and West Bengal (8).
The voting for the fourth phase of elections will start Monday (May 13) at 7:00 am IST and will end at 5 pm IST. To find out the polling booth in your assembly area you are supposed to vote, use the EPIC number present on the Voter ID Card.
