Interfaith marriages are common in the Pataudi household, but not everyone is pleased with this. Actress Soha Ali Khan recently discussed the backlash her family faced regarding interfaith marriages.

Interfaith marriages are common in Saif Ali Khan's household. His father and cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore tied the knot in the 1960s. Decades later, Saif and Kareena Kapoor got hitched, then Soha Ali Khan got married to actor Kunal Khemu after being in a long relationship with him. While interfaith marriages may be normal at Khan's home, they haven’t garnered much appreciation from the conservative part of society, who were quick to slam their decisions. Years after Kareena and Saif's wedding, and her and Kunal's wedding, Soha Ali Khan revealed how people had reacted to the interfaith marriages. There’s going to be lots of haters, there’s going to be lots of voices, and that’s also okay,'' she said. Also read: Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 teaser postponed: Why the Oct 2 release didn’t happen

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has moved to IMPPA against the makers of Chandni Bar Returns for using a registered title without consent.

In a fresh controversy shaking Bollywood’s creative corridors, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has filed an official complaint with the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) against the makers of Chandni Bar Returns for what he terms as the unauthorised use of his film’s title. According to reports, Bhandarkar has objected to producer Sandeep Singh and director Ajay Bahl using the title Chandni Bar, which he claims is a registered property of his production house, Bhandarkar Entertainment, for their upcoming project. The original Chandni Bar, directed by Bhandarkar in 2001, starred Tabu in a National Award-winning performance and remains one of Indian cinema’s most hard-hitting portrayals of Mumbai’s underbelly. The letter reportedly states, “We have received a complaint from our member, M/s Bhandarkar Entertainment, that your company is using their registered title ‘Chandni Bar’ for a sequel titled ‘Chandni Bar Returns’ without obtaining the requisite authorisation or consent.” It further warns that any continued use of the title could invite appropriate legal action, reinforcing that “Chandni Bar” remains a registered property of Bhandarkar Entertainment. Mohan’s wife, Lata Mohan Iyer, who is listed as the official proprietor in the Government of India’s Trademark Registry. Co-producer Vishal Gurnani clarified, “Legend Studios has acquired the option rights from the original producers, who are the rightful owners of the registered trademark and IP of Chandni Bar (2001). Our films, Kantara and Kantara Chapter-1, were created with the purpose of respectfully portraying this devotion and celebrating the glory of the Daivas. We have strived tirelessly to ensure that the profound respect and unwavering devotion central to Dhaivaradhane were honoured, successfully spreading the significance and heritage of the Tulu soil with the world. We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming positive response. However, we have observed that certain individuals have been imitating the Daiva characters from the movie and engaging in inappropriate behaviour in public spaces and gatherings (sic),” they wrote. The whole season, I am locked in on what that man is doing on the field.” Also Read: Did Amazon really disarm James Bond? Fans react to edited posters She added with a smile, “Can you imagine if he’s out there every week putting his life on the line in that high-pressure sport, and I’m sitting there like, ‘Hmm, should we do Shake It Off into Blank Space or maybe Cruel Summer?’” While fans may be disappointed, Swift made it clear this isn’t a permanent no. “This has nothing to do with Travis — he would love for me to do it,” she emphasized. “I’m just too locked in right now.” Also Read: Before The Conjuring: Last Rites streams on OTT, watch these 7 horror thrillers Not about contracts or control Rumours had circulated that Swift turned down the Super Bowl over performance footage rights, given her ongoing mission to own her masters. However, she dismissed those claims completely. “It was never about contracts or control. There just wasn’t an official ask,” she said. The pop icon appeared on The Tonight Show to promote her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, which recently topped global charts. Between the new record and her whirlwind personal life, Swift says she’s content to stay off the halftime stage — at least for now. Fans react: “Her love is the real halftime show” Following her comments, social media exploded with reactions. One fan wrote on X, “Forget the Super Bowl, her heart is already scoring touchdowns.” Another joked, “Taylor’s love for football is the real halftime magic show.” Also Read: Creator economy sham: MrBeast feels AI slop will kill small content makers Swift’s presence at NFL games has already transformed stadiums into “Swiftie central,” with fans showing up in bejeweled Chiefs gear and friendship bracelets. Her connection to the sport has undeniably boosted both viewership and pop culture crossover moments throughout the past year. Could a future performance happen? Though Swift won’t take the stage at the 2026 Super Bowl, she didn’t close the door on the idea completely. “Maybe someday,” she hinted, suggesting that once her schedule and personal life align, she’d consider giving fans the halftime performance they’ve been waiting for. For now, Swift is focused on finishing her record-breaking Eras Tour and cheering on Kelce from the stands. And if history has taught Swifties anything, it’s that when Taylor does finally decide to take that stage, the world will be watching.

Taylor Swift has finally addressed the rumours around why she won’t be headlining the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, and it's not what fans think.

A beautifully written story, depicted truthfully, holding up a mirror to us of the world we live in, that we have all helped create. Sandhya Suri, the writer and director, has crafted something so meaningful and touching. The film has been shown all over the world, starting its journey at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024, and has been greatly appreciated by critics and the public alike. All the actors in Santosh are brilliant, but I will especially speak of Sunita Rajwar, who has done an excellent job playing a very complex character. It was a joy working with her and watching her become Geeta Sharma. You will see her in a completely new avatar. I cannot wait for everyone in India to finally be able to watch the film.”

After earning international acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival 2024 (Un Certain Regard), the film will now reach audiences for the very first time, and in doing so, it marks a homecoming for a story that has resonated globally but was always rooted here. What is Santosh about? The film follows Santosh, a young widow who inherits her late husband’s police position through compassionate appointment. What begins as a symbolic placement quickly turns into a reckoning when she is assigned to the investigation of a Dalit teenager’s rape and murder.

Dwayne Johnson, Hollywood’s beloved action star, is embracing a philosophical approach after his latest release, The Smashing Machine, recorded the lowest opening weekend of his career. The Benny Safdie-directed sports biopic, which chronicles the life of UFC Hall of Famer Mark Kerr, opened to a modest $6 million in the U.S., against a hefty $50 million production budget.

For Johnson, who has fronted global blockbusters like Fast & Furious, Jumanji, and Black Adam, this marks an unexpected box office stumble. Yet, the actor remains unshaken.
