But what is the evidence? Filling in for Akshaye Khanna, Jaideep Ahlawat makes a powerful entry as a fiery cop who is now leading the case.
Makers on the series

Talking about being a part of the anthology, Vikramaditya Motwane says, “What drew me to Lust Stories 3 was the chance to explore what happens when the comfort of everyday life begins to rub up against the desire for something unexpected, and this story allowed me to explore that space with warmth, humour and a little bit of unpredictability. Bringing it to life with the crew, the producers, Netflix, and with this madly gifted cast was an incredible experience.”

Also Read: Ali Fazal on his massive transformation as Guddu Bhaiya for Mirzapur

Kiran Rao adds, “What interested me about this story was how the first sparks of an attraction can quickly become something far more complicated. Desire makes us curious, and sometimes willing to take chances we normally wouldn’t. I was interested in what happens when those choices begin to have unexpected consequences. The anthology format, and the creative freedom Netflix gave us, allowed me to play with intimacy and humour. I really enjoyed finding that balance, letting the characters follow their impulses, and take us to surprising territory. I hope it’s a fun, unpredictable ride that keeps the audience on their toes.”

Shakun Batra says, "For me, the most interesting relationships are the ones where people don’t quite know what they’re feeling, or how to make sense of it. Affection, insecurity, allure and frustration can all exist at the same time, often in ways that surprise us. I wanted to explore that emotional ambiguity with honesty, without judging the characters or trying to give them easy answers. There’s something inherently dramatic, and often quite funny, about watching people navigate those contradictions. Working with such a talented cast, and having the creative space with Netflix to let those emotions unfold naturally, made this a really rewarding experience."

Also Read: Cannes Film Festival 2026: Aditi Rao Hydari stuns at the red carpet in elegant green gown | See pics

Vishal Bhardwaj concludes, "What fascinates me about desire is how deeply it is connected to imagination - to the stories we tell ourselves, and sometimes the stories we are afraid to tell out loud. I was drawn to the idea of exploring that space through a character finding her own voice and discovering what happens when that voice reaches beyond her. There’s humour, mischief and emotion in that journey, but also questions about identity, expression and who gets to tell stories about desire. That made this a particularly exciting story for me to explore. Being part of an anthology with three such distinctive filmmakers was a wonderful creative experience, and Netflix gave all of us the freedom to tell these stories in our own way."

Lust Stories 3 premieres September 18, only on Netflix.

The court ordered Yadav to serve the sentence by Sept 10.

What is Rajpal Yadav's case all about?

Yadav was sent to three months' imprisonment for failing to repay a loan of Rs 5 crore. His company had reportedly taken the loan to produce a film that tanked at the box office. Delhi-based company Murli Projects filed the case against Yadav's company Shree Naurang Godavari Entertainment for failing to repay the loan, which the actor took in 2010 to make his Hindi directorial debut Ata Pata Laapata.

This comes after Rajpal Yadav was sentenced to three months in jail by the Delhi High Court in July in the cheque-bounce case. The deadline to surrender was Sept 10.

Actor Rajpal Yadav has got relief in the Rs 9 crore cheque-bounce case after the Supreme Court ordered him to deposit Rs 5 crore with its registry. On Tuesday, the apex court laid down its condition to exempt the actor from surrendering to serve another jail term in his much-publicised case. This follows the Delhi High Court's July sentence of three months in jail in the same case. Animated satire South Park said Tuesday it was changing its name to "South America," in an apparent dig at US President Donald Trump's bid to rename swathes of the world. The announcement from the Emmy Award-winning show comes after Trump's recent efforts to rename Lake Ontario as Lake America and the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America. Following the order by Trump, who has also mused about changing the US state of New Mexico to New America, both Apple and Google altered the way the bodies of water are labelled for US users of their maps -- something show creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone took aim at. "Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of South Park to SOUTH AMERICA," said the show's official X account. The pair also took a shot at Paramount, which is now owned by David Ellison's Skydance Corporation, despite the reported $1.5 billion deal they signed last year.
