Just a day before, actor Siddhanth Kapoor, brother of Shraddha Kapoor, appeared in the same case. Reportedly, the questioning went on for nearly five hours on Tuesday, and the officers recorded a 10–12-page statement.

What's the drug case

Their names surfaced during the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, a.k.a Lavish, who is said to be a major suspect in the alleged drug trafficking network. The investigation started in March last year, when they recovered 126 kilograms of mephedrone from a manufacturing unit in Sangli. Reportedly, later, the ANC found an alleged interstate and international drug distribution network worth ₹252 crore.

Also Read: Tere Ishk Mein: Dhanush, Kriti Sanon film gets U/A certificate with ZERO cuts

Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh was deported from Dubai last month, and as per reports, he told investigators that he had organised drug-fuelled parties in India and overseas. With a soundtrack that includes catchy pop from Shakira, Disney has attempted to make a pro-diversity tale that appears at odds with the current moment.

The sentient animals of the fictional city of Zootopia are back with a fairytale for our times, examining how the powerful exploit our prejudices, in a family-friendly movie Disney hopes will be a big holiday hit. Nine years after the Oscar-winning first installment, "Zootopia 2" -- known as "Zootropolis 2" in some markets -- delves deeper into a world that has grossed over a billion dollars at the global box office, despite -- or because of -- its clear moral ambition. "The great thing about these movies is that they are like fables," Byron Howard, one of the two directors, told AFP in Los Angeles. "These animals are a great way for us to hold a mirror up to human nature and the mistakes that we make." We're plunged back into the city of Zootopia, a modern metropolis where predators and prey have learned to coexist without devouring each other, but stereotypes continue to influence relations. Judy, the first rabbit to join the city's police force, has proven to her macho colleagues — buffaloes, hippos, and warthogs — that she deserves her place in the investigative department. Along the way, she forges an unexpected partnership with Nick, a solitary fox whose past as a con artist proves to be a valuable asset in uniform. Exploiting stereotypes The budding friendship will be tested by a high-stakes heist, carried out during the city's centennial gala by a snake, a species long banned from the city. But when it comes time to arrest the culprit, Judy learns the rattlesnake -- Gary -- is simply trying to uncover a secret to restore his family's honor. "We have a lot of misconceptions about reptiles and snakes in general," says co-director Jared Bush. But Gary is "the most kind-hearted, warm, vulnerable character I think we've ever made." Over Nick's objections, Judy lets her quarry escape -- turning her and her partner into fugitives and setting them on the path to discovering how Zootopia's rulers have exploited stereotypes to keep reptiles out of the city. Like every odd couple, Judy and Nick clash repeatedly as they battle to the inevitable happy ending. "They have very different ways of looking at the world," said Howard. "It was really fun for us to put them through the ringer and to basically have them look at each other and say: 'Are these differences too much for our partnership to succeed?'" A pro-diversity fable With a soundtrack that includes catchy pop from Shakira — who also reprises her role as a gazelle -- Disney has produced a pro-diversity tale that appears at odds with the current moment. As with the first installment, released in 2016 at the beginning of Donald Trump's first term, this lesson in living together jars with the direction America has taken under a president who routinely disparages immigrants and has worked to undermine the notion of inclusivity. Disney, which conservatives accuse of being "woke," has been the target of an investigation by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which is examining its hiring practices,. But for the creators of "Zootopia," these parallels with current events are simply a coincidence of timing for a story intended to be timeless and which took several years to develop. "As human beings, there's this natural tendency to look at a difference in someone else and to worry about it, or have an opinion about it," says Bush. "What we're trying to say with this movie is, yes, those differences exist, but we're stronger because of them."

What happened at Miss Universe 2025

The 74th edition of the Miss Universe beauty pageant was plagued by controversies right from the beginning. Earlier, Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch, had walked from a meeting after facing humiliation from pageant director Nawat Itsaragrisl. He called her a ‘dumbhead’, which prompted many other contestants to walk out in solidarity to Miss Mexico. The incident received huge backlash online, leading to Nawat's very teary public apology. After the result's announcement, netizens expressed disappointment over Fátima Bosch being declared the winner, debating that her final answer was weaker than others, and some contestants were more deserving of the crown.

One of the judges, Natalie Glebova, a former Miss Universe 2005 titleholder, announced on Instagram that, in her opinion, the first runner-up was the true winner, and she also criticised the lack of transparency in the judging process.

Another judge, Omar Harfouch, a Lebanese-French composer, resigned three days before the final, claiming that a ‘secret committee’ had already selected the top 30 finalists. Later, Miss Universe President Raul Rocha, responded to the rigging allegation and revealed that Omar Harfouch had actually been removed from the Miss Universe 2025 judging panel.

Olivia Yace, who represented Côte d’Ivoire at Miss Universe 2025, has resigned from her title of Miss Africa and Oceania. Olivia was one of the top 5 contestants at the pageant, which saw Miss Mexico winning the crown.

Miss Universe drama continues: Now Olivia Yace, Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, resigns from her title Controversies refuse to leave the Miss Universe pageant. Days after Miss Mexico was crowned Miss Universe 2025, Olivia Yace, who represented Côte d’Ivoire at the beauty pageant, has announced her resignation from her title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania. Olivia Yace was among the top five contestants at the recently concluded pageant. Miss Universe Africa and Oceania resigns In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, the popular beauty queen said she was stepping down to remain true to her values and to continue inspiring young women, especially across the African and Afro-descendant communities. She also expressed to dissociate herself from the Miss Universe committee. Here's what Olivia wrote on Instagram “As the representative of Côte d’Ivoire at the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Bangkok, I witnessed firsthand that I was capable of reaching great things despite adversity. To continue on this path, I must remain true to my values: respect, dignity, excellence, and equal opportunity the strongest pillars that guide me. With a heart full of gratitude and profound respect, I hereby announce my resignation from the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania, as well as from any future affiliation with the Miss Universe Committee. Throughout my journey as an ambassador and beauty queen, I have served with commitment, resilience, discipline, and determination. However, to fully reach my potential, I must remain firmly anchored in my values guiding principles that pave the way toward excellence. As I stand on stage, my greatest wish is to be a role model for the new generation, especially young girls. I encourage them to push their limits, to walk confidently into rooms where they believe they do not belong, and to proudly embrace their identity. It is this commitment to being a positive influence that guides my decision today. Stepping away from this diminished role of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania will allow me to dedicate myself fully to defending the values I hold dear. I call upon Black, African, Caribbean, American, and Afro-descendent communities: continue entering spaces where you are not expected. Let us open the way for the others and sisters who will follow us. Never let anyone define who we are or limit our potential. Our presence matters, and our voices must be heard. I would also like to extend my congratulations to the new Miss Universe. I also wish Miss Universe Jamaica a swift recovery and send her all my affection. I am deeply grateful for the support I have received and for the unforgettable experiences that have shaped me. I will now continue my journey differently, with the same determination to uplift and inspire. Thank you to all those who have been part of this exceptional adventure. Let us continue to defend our values and strive for greatness together. IT’S TIME FOR AFRICA. With love and respect, OLIVIA MANUELA YACÉ”

Actor-director Siddhant Kapoor was summoned by the Mumbai police for questioning in a drugs case. The actor was questioned for his connection with a sprawling narcotics investigation tied to suspected underworld links.

In the massive Rs 252-crore drug case, actor-director Siddhant Kapoor, who is also the brother of Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, appeared before the Ghatkopar unit of Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) on Tuesday afternoon. He was summoned for questioning by the ANC on November 21 in connection with a sprawling narcotics investigation tied to suspected underworld links. The investigation centres on a seizure of mephedrone (MD) valued at around Rs 252 crore, traced to a manufacturing unit in Maharashtra’s Sangli district. Staggering claims were made earlier by a drug trafficker arrested earlier this month. According to submissions made by the ANC to a court in Mumbai, the trafficker, identified as Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh, said he arranged lavish parties for celebrities where MD was also supplied. Among some names he took who attended these parties were actors Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddhant Kapoor, Orry, film producers Abbas-Mustan and rapper Loka. Not just Bollywood celebrities, the trafficker also said that Baba Siddique's son and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique, and the son of Dawood’s deceased sister Haseena Parkar were among attendees. The ongoing probe is in connection with an alleged drug trafficking syndicate linked with the Dawood Ibrahim gang. The drug trafficker who made these claims is reportedly a close aide of fugitive drug kingpin Salim Dola, who is a key member of the Dawood gang. Officials say they are only recording statements currently of the people who Shaikh claimed had attended these parties where he supplied drugs. These claims will be verified and based on the investigation and evidence gathered, the police will decide who will be named as an accused or witness in the case. Earlier, the ANC had also summoned popular social media influencer Orhan Awatramani alias Orry. However, Orry did not appear for questioning and requested for more time. The Ghatkopar unit of the Anti-Narcotics Cell had sent a second summons to Orry and he has been called for questioning on November 26.
