<h2>WION's review of Bhooth Bangla</h2><p>As per <i>WION's</i> Nikita Toppo, <i>Bhooth Bangla</i> is a movie that works in parts but doesn't fully live up to its potential. The first half is funny, nostalgic, and has great performances, but the second half gets heavier, darker, and less fun, which makes the movie less powerful. While it offers moments of laughter, a few jump scares, and may even remind audiences of films like <i>Bhool Bhulaiyaa</i> in terms of style and character dynamics, it feels short of the level of the iconic Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan collaborations.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Also Read: </strong><a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/bollywood/bhoot-bangla-trailer-out-akshay-kumar-priyadarshan-reunite-for-a-spooky-laughter-ride-watch-1775469020352"><strong>Bhoot Bangla trailer: Akshay, Priyadarshan reunite for a spooky laughter ride</strong></a></p><h2>About Bhooth Bangla</h2><p>Helmed by Priyadarshan, the horror comedy film holds more than just its genre. If you still feel the need for speed, Paramount Pictures has good news for you -- "Top Gun 3" is officially happening, with Tom Cruise back as daring pilot Pete "Maverick" Mitchell. The announcement came Thursday at the studio's showcase at CinemaCon, an annual week-long summit at which Hollywood studios present their biggest upcoming movies to theater owners and press. Paramount film co-head Josh Greenstein said "Top Gun 3" was "officially in development with a script well underway," adding that Cruise would reunite with producer Jerry Bruckheimer on the project. The original 1986 film helped propel Cruise to superstardom, and the 2022 sequel earned $1.5 billion worldwide. Legendary director Steven Spielberg publicly credited Cruise with helping to get moviegoers back into theaters after the Covid-19 pandemic with the long-awaited sequel. Cruise was not present at the presentation, but did narrate a film used to open the event, which focused on the studio's commitment to releasing films on the big screen. At the end, Cruise -- sitting atop the water tower on the studio's lot -- says, "The future looks great from here." Paramount Skydance chief David Ellison told attendees that the studio would guarantee a 45-day theatrical release window for its films before moving them to streaming platforms. "Once we combine with Warner Brothers, we're going to make a minimum of 30 films annually," Ellison said in a pledge to theater owners. "Long live the movies." Paramount has launched a massive $111 billion bid to take over Warner Bros, topping a rival bid from Netflix. But many in Hollywood fear the mega-merger will lead to cuts that will forever change the film industry. Also on Paramount's upcoming slate is a film adaptation of the popular video game "Call of Duty," due in theaters in June 2028. Attendees also saw early footage from "Heart of the Beast," a thriller starring Brad Pitt as a military veteran who must survive a plane crash in Alaska with his combat dog. And Johnny Depp showed up to offer a preview of "Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol," the latest adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens tale, in which he plays the grumpy Scrooge. CinemaCon continues later Thursday with Disney's presentation.

<p>Kangana Ranaut has spoken in support of actress Deepika Padukone and her demand for an 8-hour workday. In 2025, Deepika exited two major films after the makers did not adhere to her demand for an 8-hour work shift. Deepika’s exit led to a widespread debate across the film industry over work hours on film sets. Now, actress-turned-MP Kangana Ranaut has weighed in on the debate and even backed Deepika.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In a new podcast, Kangana said Deepika has ‘earned’ the right to demand that as the top-most actress and a mother.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Kangana Ranaut backs Deepika Padukone</h2><p>Last year, Deepika had exited from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, reportedly over her demand to work only 8 hours in a day since she is now a mother. The actor later also left the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, reportedly for the same reason. Deepika's demand was met with mixed reactions, with many calling it logical, while others argued that it was impractical in the film industry.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Kangana recently appeared on a podcast for ANI and talked about how work-life balance evolves for people over time and with experience.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Also read:</strong><a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/bollywood/deepika-padukone-hits-back-at-silence-buzz-over-ranveer-singh-s-dhurandhar-2-i-watched-it-way-before-any-1775619395257"><strong> Deepika Padukone hits back at ‘silence' buzz over Dhurandhar 2 success: 'I watched it way before any..'</strong></a></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>On the work hours debate, Kangana said, “I don't think there should be an issue created out of this because if you see where she (Deepika Padukone) is coming from, she has earned that place. If today she is keen to work for eight hours, she has earned it.”</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Kangana then recounted a conversation she had with Deepika when they both were younger and working 12-14 hours on film sets. In response, I said that I work for only 10 hours. She's like, you know, that's amazing. So there was a time when we wouldn't settle for anything less than 12-14 hours because we were ferocious. We wanted it. We were at it. We were going for it. We wanted to be successful and wanted all these things. Let me just conclude it with this. Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has backed Deepika Padukone's demand for 8-hour work shift on film sets. Kangana said in an interview that Deepika's demand was justified as she had earned her space in the film industry.

Kangana Ranaut has spoken in support of actress Deepika Padukone and her demand for an 8-hour workday. In 2025, Deepika exited two major films after the makers did not adhere to her demand for an 8-hour work shift. Deepika’s exit led to a widespread debate across the film industry over work hours on film sets. Now, actress-turned-MP Kangana Ranaut has weighed in on the debate and even backed Deepika. In a new podcast, Kangana said Deepika has ‘earned’ the right to demand that as the top-most actress and a mother. Kangana Ranaut backs Deepika Padukone Last year, Deepika had exited from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit, reportedly over her demand to work only 8 hours in a day since she is now a mother. The actor later also left the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, reportedly for the same reason. Deepika's demand was met with mixed reactions, with many calling it logical, while others argued that it was impractical in the film industry. Kangana recently appeared on a podcast for ANI and talked about how work-life balance evolves for people over time and with experience. Also read: Deepika Padukone hits back at ‘silence' buzz over Dhurandhar 2 success: 'I watched it way before any..' On the work hours debate, Kangana said, “I don't think there should be an issue created out of this because if you see where she (Deepika Padukone) is coming from, she has earned that place. She has a daughter; she's a mother now and the top-most actress. If today she is keen to work for eight hours, she has earned it.” Kangana then recounted a conversation she had with Deepika when they both were younger and working 12-14 hours on film sets. Admitting that those times have changed, Kangana said, “Deepika and I, when we were together, she said that they were working on Imtiaz's film or something. She said, 'We have a 12-hour shift.' In response, I said that I work for only 10 hours. She's like, you know, that's amazing. So there was a time when we wouldn't settle for anything less than 12-14 hours because we were ferocious. We wanted it. We were at it. We were going for it. We wanted to be successful and wanted all these things. Let me just conclude it with this. You know, when you're new, you're coming up, and you are replaceable. Your place is different. She (Deepika), being where she is, she's a mother. She's got a family to look after.” Also read: Aditya Dhar’s ‘18-hour shift’ comment goes viral: Fans call it a dig at Deepika It should be noted that Kangana has mostly been critical of Deepika publicly.
