In a recent development, it has been confirmed by PEOPLE that Taylor Swift will not be attending the 2024 Met Gala, despite earlier reports suggesting otherwise. The singer, who recently released her album The Tortured Poets Department on April 19, is prioritising rehearsals and tour preparations ahead of her upcoming Eras Tour dates.

The Met Gala is scheduled for May 6, which would have been a tight schedule for Swift, 34, given her tour commitments. TMZ previously reported that Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, wouldbe skipping the event this year.
