Warner Bros. Discovery is set to feature a new India Original called Mystery Hunter, a first-of-its-kind series that explores the country's lesser-known mysteries, astonishing legends, and hidden treasures of great significance.
Hosted by renowned adventure junkie, actor and host Rannvijay Singha, the show is set to air every Tuesday starting November 19 on Discovery Channel and Discovery+.
Mystery Hunter: Plot and Host
The show will see him take on new adventures, explore India’s unexplored landscapes, and discover the hidden secrets of historic sites and enigmatic events.
Speaking at the launch of the series, Rannvijay Singha said, “Mystery Hunter has allowed me to explore India’s diverse history in ways I never imagined. Interacting with experts and archaeologists to unearth the secrets of these ancient sites was equal parts challenging and exciting. I can’t wait for viewers to experience this adventure with me, uncovering India’s secrets that have captivated minds for centuries.”
Each episode of Mystery Hunter uncovers the mysteries of India’s rich history. Could a cataclysmic event in India have contributed to the extinction of the dinosaurs? Are the fabled weapons of the Mahabharata concealed within Delhi and Indraprastha, awaiting discovery? What happened to the treasure trove of Vijayanagar that once overflowed with gold? And what secrets do the ancient Harappan ports reveal about India’s early maritime supremacy?

The series is filmed in remote locations across India—from the ancient ruins of Lothal in the Rann of Kutch to the mystical landscapes of Hampi, Gadag, and Penukonda in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, and the historic sites of Manipur, Kurukshetra, Indraprastha (modern-day Delhi), and Hastinapur (modern-day Meerut).
