Rakul Preet Singh's brother arrested in drugs case in Hyderabad

Rakul Preet Singh's brother Aman Preet Singh has found himself in the midst of the controversy. The brother of the well-known Bollywood actress has been arrested by Hyderabad police in connection with an alleged drug case.

On Monday, Amar was taken into custody with fourothers in a joint operation carried out by the Narcotics Bureau and Hyderabad's Rajendra Nagar SOT Police under the jurisdiction of Cyberabad Police, officials said.

The five accused arrested in the case are identified as Aman Preet Singh, Aniketh Reddy, Prasad, Madhusudhan and Nikhil Daman. All are in police custody and will be produced in court after medical examination.

Rakul's brother's name emerged among the people whoconsumed drugs. He hastested positive.

As per ANI,199 grammes of cocaine worth Rs 35 lakhwasseized from their possession.

"As consumers, we picked up five people and brought them to the police station. In the urine test kit, all of them were found positive. They have been taken into custody. We are now sending them for detailed medical examination," Srinivas, DCP, Cyberabad Police, Rajendra Nagar Zone said.

As per the reports, Telangana's Anti-Narcotics Departmentfound 2.6 kgof cocaine that was beingbrought toHyderabad for sale. Aman's name came in30 customers of cocaine.

“I will only comment on whom Aman is connected to once we investigate the case more. We need to check when his association began with the accused, who consist of some Indians and Nigerians. Some of them are repeat offenders. But we believe it might be for a year and a half. Aman tested positive for using cocaine in the urine test. It is confirmed that he’s an actor, he did not say if it’s on Tollywood or elsewhere," said the police at the press meet.

For the unversed, Rakul Preet was questioned by theEnforcement Directorate in 2021in connection with a high-profile drugcase.
