The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is underway in India. On Friday, several states went to pollsin the second phase of the elections. Celebrities like Prakash Raj, Sudeep and Yash- residents of Bengaluru- were seen at polling stations in the city, queueing up to cast their votes. Several prominent faces of Malayalam cinema, including superstar Mammootty were also seen at the polling booth exercising their right to vote.
Prakash Raj took to X to share a video of himself soon after casting his vote. The actor urged everyone to step out and exercise their right. "I have voted for change, I have voted against hate. I have voted for a representative whom I believe will be my voice in the parliament. Please go and vote and make the change," said the actor in the video.
Kannada actor Kicha Sudeep called voting as hope. "It is a big day. Voting is a hope, not an assurance. The problems are rising in our country. Now, the request should not be for people to come out to vote but for the political leaders for whom we are voting," said Kannada actor while speaking to ANI after casting his vote.
KGF star Yash too was seen at a polling booth in Bengaluru casting his vote.

Meanwhile, in Kerala, Mammootty wasseen casting his vote at a polling booth.
At Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh, actor Ashutosh Rana cast his vote and later spoke to media and urged people to vote. "I would like to say that wherever you are, must exercise your voting franchise as through this you are going to construct your future and will be setting your destiny. So, if our ancestors have given us the blessing of freedom, then the responsibility of retaining and blossoming it is on us," he said.
Bollywood actress Neha Sharma cast her vote in Bhagalpur where her fatherCongress leader Ajit Sharma is contesting as a candidate.
