After visiting Samoa, King Charles and Queen Camilla spent four quiet days in complete privacy at a health centre in Bengaluru, India; named Soukya. Unknown to many, this is not their first visit to this wellness retreat. They have paid many visits to this retreat in the past 10 years.

According to the Times of India, it is King Charles’s first overseas visit since he wasdiagnosed with cancer. He is 75 years of age and has spoken about his trust in Eastern healing treatments several times in the past.

Soukya Health and Wellness Centre is a one-of-a-kindhealing sanctuary in Bengaluru, India, where the focus extends beyond conventional medical treatments. This residential wellness facility embraces a comprehensive philosophy of healing that looks at each person's complete well-being, rather than just addressing individual symptoms or health concerns in isolation.

Dr. Issac Mathai, along with his wife, established this wellness retreat in 2011, creating a space where ancient healing wisdom meets modern wellness practices.

After attending the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa, King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Bengaluru, before going back to the UK. Their private jet landed at HAL airport on Saturday night, October 26.According to theTimes of India, since it was a personal visit, no formal welcome was extended by the state government.

The most recent time any British royal family members came to India for official work was in 2016. That's when Prince William and Kate (who are now the Prince and Princess of Wales) visited India to help build better connections between the UK and India.
