In a shocking turn of events, popular social media influencers Sufi Malik and Anjali Chakra, a US-based same-sex couple originally from Pakistan and India respectively, have announced the end of their engagement and relationship. The couple, known for their captivating content and heartwarming love story, took to Instagram to share the unfortunate news with their followers.
Anjali Chakra, in a heartbreaking post on Instagram, revealed that the reason behind their decision to split was infidelity committed by Sufi. Despite the revelation, Anjali emphasised that she wished for no negativity to be directed towards her ex-partner.
Sufi Malik also addressed the situation on Instagram, admitting to cheating on Anjali a few weeks before their scheduled wedding. She expressed deep regret for her actions, acknowledging the pain she has caused to Anjali, their families, friends, and their cherished community.
The couple, who had been together for over five years and got engaged a year ago, shared a close bond that resonated with their fans. They gained popularity in 2019 after sharing pictures and videos of themselves wearing traditional South Asian outfits and dancing under the rain, winning hearts on the internet.
Anjali, who runs a wedding planning business in New York and San Francisco, and Sufi, a lifestyle and travel content creator based in New York, were set to embark on a new chapter in their lives together. However, the revelation of infidelity has led to the unfortunate end of their relationship.
