Most people have sex on THIS day and time. Mondays are the worst

A new study has revealed that there is an exact day in the week and time when a majority of people across the world have sex. This day is Saturday and the time is 10:09 pm.

The sensuous revelations were made by a survey conducted by Luxury lingerie retailer Pour Moi. It asked 2,000 sexually active people when are they most likely to get it on. Of the respondents, 43% said Saturday was their favourite day to get busy under the sheets.

Friday followed next at 22 per cent, followed by Sunday at 10 per cent, with Thursday next on the list with 6 per cent.

No prizes for guessing the day least favoured for sex - Monday. Only two per cent of people said that Monday was their top choice.

With the days of the week sorted, let's move on to the preferred time to have sex. Late nights are usually when most of the respondents prefer getting physical with their partners. There is even one time on the clock that sees the majority of the action, and that is 10:09 pm. This exact time emerged as the most sexually active minute in the survey.

Weekday afternoons are the least sexually active hours. This means that a little mid-day action wasn't happening as much across the world. Mondays at 1:02 pm were least likely to see any kind of sexual activity.

How often do people have sex?

The survey also dived into the age-old question of how much sex are people having. Considering the busy work schedules and other personal chores, a majority of people have sex only once a week.

The survey found that a whopping 48 per cent of participants indulged in sex just once a week.

Further, 19 per cent of respondents got intimate twice a week, 13 per cent three times a week and seven per cent four times a week. Only one per cent of people said that they had sex daily.

However, the frequency with which men and women would like to have sex is a totally different story. The majority of adults (24 to 45 years of age), including men, say having sex twice a week is ideal.

But women were found to have a higher sex drive with most of them saying four times a week is the best situation.
