Indian TV actors Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya are finally headed back home in India. The Indian couple was robbed in Italy last week. The couple shared a photo with their emergency certificates on Instagram on Sunday which were granted to them by the Indian Embassy in Italy.

Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya robbed in Italy
Last week, the popular Indian TV actors Divyanka and Vivek found themselves stranded in Italy after losing their belongings worth Rs 10 lakh (Rs 1 million) and passports.
The incident took place last week in a popular Italian tourist town. While the actors were out for lunch, their car, parked at the resort where they were set to check in, was broken into.
Burglars reportedly smashed a glass of their rental car and took away cash, credit cards and other valuables.
The couple took to Instagram to seek help. They reach out to to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the Indian Embassy.
Days later, they were issued emergency certificates, enabling their return to India. Grateful for the support, they shared this news with their fans and expressed gratitude to the Indian Embassy.
The couple revealed that a friend had helped them sort out the “money situation.”
With their finances in order, they focused on obtaining the emergency certificates needed for their return to India.
Divyanka updated fans on Instagram stories that, “Currently, our money situation is kind of sorted as we have got some help from a good friend. We have replaced the rented car, as it was insured.”
She also added that they had not lost everything. Some of their belongings, which were in the car’s boot, were retained.
Divyanka reached out to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and wrote, “Dear PM Ms Giorgia Meloni, we were passionately touring Italy until we got robbed. Reported to the police. But robberies are being taken so casually here that we have already lost hope along with our enthusiasm. How will I & my people ever gather the courage to visit Italy again?”
In a separate post, she added, “Our embassy is helping us, but how about Italy taking up responsibility for the safety of the tourists. It’s not only about us, but cumulatively all those who save up & spend a fortune to be here.”
Divyanka and Vivek were on a vacation to Italy to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Before the robbery, the duo had been sharing stunning glimpses of their holiday on Instagram.
