Olivia Wilde recently shared her experience of juggling motherhood with her career as a filmmaker, highlighting the challenges and rewards of both roles.Speaking at an event for Baby2Baby on Wednesday, the actress and director spoke about her children's interest in her work, noting that they are eager for her to create films that are not rated R.

Wilde, who shares two children with ex Jason Sudeikis, revealed that her kids are "begging me to make something that's not rated R." She joked about their concern, saying, "I have one right now that they can see. They're like, 'Mom, this is irresponsible!'"

Despite their current limitations, Wilde is optimistic that her children will one day appreciate her work. "I do think about the effect they have on my kids," she said. "In the end, I want them to learn from me that everything you do in your life is all a learning process."

Wilde's upcoming directorial projects, including Avengelyne, Naughty, and Perfect, all focus on empowering women. "It's all about women being empowered," she explained.

Wilde also shared that her daughter Daisy, 7, is interested in following her footsteps into directing. "Daisy wants to be a director, which is so cool," Wilde said. "She loves music videos." The mother-daughter duo often collaborates on directing Daisy's own videos, drawing inspiration from artists like Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish.

Wilde is also passing on her passion for philanthropy to her children, planning to bring them along to volunteer with Baby2Baby, which supports women and children in need. She believes that volunteering is a powerful way for children to understand their own influence and make a positive impact on the world.

Reflecting on her own childhood experiences volunteering with her mother, Wilde emphasised the lasting impact of those moments. "Those memories are really formative for me," she said, highlighting the importance of instilling a sense of empathy and social responsibility in the next generation.
