What did the audience experience at Madonna’s free concert?

It was everything that a Madonna fan would want – there was exemplary music, dance, a lot of set and costume changes and beautiful light displays – that set the mood for the night.

Before Madonna arrived for the show, crowds of fans were seen dancing to Madonna's songs played from the speakers on the stage. This was hours before her concert began and she made an appearance.

Madonna sang some of her greatest hits, including “Nothing Really Matters”, “Like a Prayer” and “Vogue”. She was also joined on stage at one point by Brazilian singer Anitta.

To make sure that everyone got a glimpse of the iconic singer, there were giant TV screens located along the beach. Some even watched from their apartments and hotels and some even from their boats which they parked on the sea, close to the shoreline.

There was also a large police presence to ensure the safety of all those in attendance.
