Story highlights

Aayush Sharma, who is married to Salman Khan's younger sister Arpita, comes from an illustrious political family in Himachal Pradesh.

Aayush Sharma, most famously known as Salman Khan’s brother-in-law is making his way into the Bollywood industry with his debut film Loveratri.

With the filmscheduled to release later this year, it is already making news for its cast and then some for people opposing the name of the film that sounds too much like a Hindu festival Navratri (what irked them apparently is that the film also releases during that time of the year).

While lots is happening on the film’s front, Aayush waits for the world to see his side, to know him through the lens of acting. Motivated with a desire to make it big in the entertainment world, he calls acting his “first passion”.

Most might not know this but Aayush hails from a pretty decorated political family in Himachal Pradesh. But ask him if politics is an option, he says that a career in politics is not on the cards for now.

On where his heart belongs, Aayush said, “Acting has been and will always be my first passion and there are no second thoughts about that. I have always loved the craft. Politics is a part of my life because of the family I belong to but I do not intend to join politics any time soon and want to only follow my first passion which is acting for now.”

Aayush is the grandson of a Union Minister who is credited with bringing in the Telecom revolution while his father is also one of Himachal's leading politicians.

Aayush for most of us movie buffs is married to Salman Khan’s younger sister, Arpita Khan. They have a son together named Ahil Sharma who is Salman’s favourite.
