
'Gone With the Wind' has now returned to HBO Max after two weeks they havepulleddown the 1939 Oscar-winningfrom the streaming platform
The show is returned with an additional context and a disclaimer attached, as now before the movie starts, a video from TCM host and University of Chicago cinema and media studies professor Jacqueline Stewart will appear, who will tell viewers, "You're about to see one of the most enduringly popular films" of all time, but warns "the film has been repeatedly protested, dating back to the announcement of its production".

The Oscar-winning drama also now contains a video of a panel discussion about the film from the 2019 TCM Classic Film Festival called 'The Complicated Legacy of ‘Gone With the Wind'
As the movie was pulled down by the streaming site on June 9 because of its racist content and in wake of protests over police brutality and racism after the killing of George Floyd in Minnesota, USA.
Based on on the 1936 bestseller by Margaret Mitchell, of the same name received eight Oscars at the 12th Academy Awards, including best picture, director, adapted screenplay, actress and supporting actress for McDaniel.
