'Game of Thrones' star James Cosmo signed for Indian film with Dhanush

The ‘Game of Thrones’ stars have a thing or two going on with India as right after Emilia Clarke who played Daenerys Targaryen in the hit show came for a quiet vacation, we have news of another actor who might be in India for other reasons. 

Announced today, James Cosmo who played the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, Jeor Mormont in the show will now be joining actor Dhanush in Karthik Subbaraj’s next project. He tweeted, “Very Happy, honoured & excited to work with an actor who starred in legendary creations like #Braveheart #Troy #Gameofthrones & many more@dhanushkraja @sash041075 @Music_Santhosh @kshreyaas #D40 #Ynot18.”


Dhanush also took to Twitter and wrote, “I am super excited about my next project, which will be directed by @karthiksubbaraj and produced by @sash041075 of #ynotstudios with a brilliant cast and crew. Can’t wait for this to start next month in London.” 


The project will start next month and it will be shot in London. Not much has been announced about the plot and James’ role. 

James Cosmo is a Scottish actor who has been part of several Hollywood films like ‘Highlander’, ‘Braveheart’, ‘Trainspotting’, ‘Troy’, ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’, ‘Ben-Hur’ and ‘Wonder Woman’.

James is, however, best known for his roles in television series, ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Sons Of Anarchy’. 

Y Not Studios is producing the film and announced earlier that Malayalam actor Aishwarya Lekshmi is set to share screen space with Dhanush. The makers are yet to announce the rest of the cast. Meanwhile, Santhosh Narayan has been roped in to compose music for the film.
