Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana, Nitesh Tiwari directorial is set to release on Diwali. Apart from Ranbir, the movie also stars Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Vivek Oberoi, among others.
Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Currently, the actor is in the USA along with director Nitesh Tiwari as they continue to promote their movie with special screenings ahead of the trailer release. After unveiling the film’s first glimpse in Los Angeles, Ranbir and the makers attended an event in New York City, where the team once again interacted with the media and fans present at the screening. During the interaction, Kapoor was presented with a special gift that perfectly suited his upcoming movie.
Several videos from the event have been circulating online. Among them, one clip that has been gaining a lot of attention shows a fan gifting the actor a customised jacket.
Ranbir Kapoor Gets a Ram Mandir-Themed Jacket at Ramayana Event
At the screening, Ranbir was interacting with the media, and fans gathered to watch the first look of his movie. During the event, the actor was approached by a fan who introduced himself as a designer.
The clip shows Ranbir warmly interacting with the fan, who gifted him a customized bandhgala jacket inspired by the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
The video that has now gone viral shows the fans saying, “This is based on Ram Mandir. I couldn’t find a better occasion to gift this to you. I am designer. Hopefully you will enjoy it.”

Later in the clip, Ranbir is seen examining the jacket with Ramayana producer Namit Malhotra. The beautiful red jacket featured the Ram Mandir embroidered on the front bottom. On the back, an image of Lord Ram was embroidered using blue and golden threads.

At the event, the actor looked handsome in a white kurta set paired with a Nehru jacket.
Ranbir Kapoor reveals why he initially rejected the role of Lord Rama.
At the screening, the actor revealed that when Namit first offered him the role, he initially felt he was not suitable for it. However, his perspective changed after he became a father, welcoming his daughter Raha with his wife, actress Alia Bhatt.
He added, “There was a period when I needed to change my lifestyle. I had just become a father for the first time. The sweet coincidence of playing Lord Ram and becoming a father became a turning point in my life.”

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the first part of the movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama alongside Yash, who is playing Ravana and Sai Pallavi, who is playing the role of Lord Sita.
