Diljit Dosanjh makes history! Performs at a sold-out show in Vancouver’s arena

Diljit Dosanjh is on a roll! The crooner, who is currently basking in the success of his Netflix movie Chamkila, has given an unforgettable performance at Vancouver's BC Place Stadium, solidifying his place at a global level.

The singer has kicked off his Dil-Luminati Tour, and with his performance in Vancouver, he has managed to script history by selling out the largest-ever Punjabi show outside India. Dosanjh enthralled over 54,000 fans withhiselectrifying performance inBC Place Stadium.

Adding to this, Diljit was the first Punjabi singer to headline a concert at the Vancouver-based arena.

On Sunday (April 28), Dosanjh shared a few stills and a clip from his mind-blowing show last night. Sharing the photos, the ''Lover'' singer wrote in the caption, “HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN. BC PLACE STADIUM ️ SOLD OUT DIL-LUMINATI TOUR.''

In the carousel of photos, one picture showed the singer rocking a black kurta, Tamba (traditional dress for Punjabi men), and gloves with a turban. Another photo of the set showed Diljit softly kissing a boy on the stage.

The video showed a sweet interaction between Diljit with the stadium's general manager, as they honouredthe singer with a framed picture of his performance.

“My name is Chris. I am the general manager here at the stadium. The largest ever Punjabi show outside of India,” Chris says in the video.

At the concert, Diljit made the jam-packed arena groove on his chartbusters like ''G.O.A.T'', ''Lover”, “Kinni Kinni”, and “Ishq Mitaye” from his recently released movie Chamkila among others.

The excitement among the fans around Diljit's show was on cloud nine. The tickets weresold at high prices, and the cost of the front-row seats ranged from $482.79 to as high as $713.89,as per Money Control. Other seats were sold at even higher prices.

To watch Diljit's performance, a huge number of people started gathering outside the BC Palace hours before the scheduled time.

Diljit's milestone has been celebrated by his celebrity friends and millions of fans.

Neha Dhupia wrote, ''Beyond! 🔥 we are living in the @diljitdosanjh era 🙌❤️.''

Last year, Diljit became the first-ever Punjabi artist to perform live at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music & Art Festival in the USA.

Meanwhile, Diljit was last seen in Imtiaz Ali's Chamkila. In thebiographical drama, the singer plays the role of a famous Punjabi singer who was known as the 'Elvis of Punjab'.
