Bhumi Pednekar, Sonam Bajwa call out unfair trolling of Aishwarya Rai on her fashion choices

Aishwarya Rai has never had it easy. From being called the most beautiful woman on the planet to being trolled viciously for her sartorial choices, for her fashion and for many years for her body size, the former Miss World cum actress has seen it all. Every year at the Cannes Film Festival, while other actresses have come and gone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been a constant. While she may not please everyone, she does make her presence felt – everyone around knows her, her name is iconic in film festivals around the world and you see people associate beauty and brains whenever her name crops up.
But this is apparently not enough. When Aishwarya Rai recently appeared at an Indian billionaire’s son’s posh wedding which saw the likes of Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, Justin Bieber attend the wedding (in separate events), the talking point was mainly her clothes and how fat she had become. Yet, the only person Kim Kardashian clicked a selfie with was Aishwarya Rai. Kim captioned the image, “Queen”.
Aishwarya Rai deserves her due
Under constant attack for her fashion choices, a journalist pointed out that it is high time we gave Aishwarya her due. The India-origin journalist said that Aishwarya is the first actor to cross over and put India on the international map. She paved the way for Priyanka Chopra and others who are now enjoying work in foreign markets.

He said that Aishwarya is a queen and one can't deny her stardom. Bollywood celebrities like Bhumi Pednekar and Sonam Bajwa endorsed the journalist’s stance. Bhumi commented with a bow-down emoji while Sonam Bajwa wrote, “Thank you for saying this.”
Aishwarya Rai captured the world’s attention after being crowned Miss World in 1994. She then entered films and gave some commercial hits including Devdas which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. She went on to star in international projects like Bride and Prejudice, The Mistress of Spices, Provoked, The Last Legion, and The Pink Panther 2. She was last seen in Mani Ratnam's Tamil period drama Ponniyin Selvan: II.
