Ali Fazal roped in with Samantha Prabhu in Rakht Brahmand

Good news galore for Ali Fazal. Just a week after he became a father, the Fukrey actor has now been roped in for Raj andDK’s Rakht Brahmand. Ali will play the lead opposite stunning actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Rakht Brahmand includes an ensemble cast – Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles. Billed as a period drama/fantasy series Rakht Brahmand is helmed by the visionary duo Raj and DK. The series will be directed by Rahi Anil Barve of Tumbbad fame.

A source close to the project said, “The project is a marvellous vision of Raj andDK, it’s definitely a step forward in its genre of fantasy drama. The cast has finally all been locked and the shoot is set to start next week. Ali will be shooting for the series through August while also completing small schedules of his other projects."
"The show can to him and the vision of the show was enough to get Ali excited to be part of the series. It’s a really interesting part, something he has never done before both from character perspective and also genre-wise," added the source.
The show will have six episodes and will be a limited series. The shoot for the same will commence in Mumbai starting next week.

Meanwhile, his personal life is going great too as he recently became a father with his wife Richa Chadha. It’s their first baby. The duo shared the good news of becoming parents to a baby girl with a sweet photo of her tiny toes.
The couple captioned the image, "Doing a collab post to announce the biggest collab of our lives!! We’ve been blessed indeed. Our baby girl continues to keep us very very busy. So Thank you all for your love and blessings (sic)."
