Bollywood celebrities express their love for MS Dhoni as he turns 38

A day after India defeated Sri Lanka and entered the semi-finals in the Cricket World Cup 2019, wicketkeeper and former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni ringed in his 38th birthday on Sunday. 

In India's seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka, Dhoni took four stunning catches to dismiss the top-batting order. 

He is the only international captain to have won ICC 50-over World Cup, T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy. Dhoni also led Chennai Super Kings team to win Indian Premier League (IPL) title thrice.

As fans, followers and well-wishers flood social media with their messages, Bollywood celebrities too expressed their love for the cricketer. 

Actor Suniel Shetty tweeted, "Many happy returns of the day to the man who carried the burden of a billion hearts for so many years! Always a pleasure seeing you on the field @msdhoni!"

Yo Yo Honey Singh's tweet read, "Wishing a very #HappyBirthday to the living legend @msdhoni #HappyBirthdayDhoni".

Daler Mehndi wrote, "Wishing the Captain Cool @msdhoni a very Happy Birthday. All the best for the upcoming matches in #CWC2019 #HappyBirthdayDhoni".

In an interview with ICC insider Ridhima Pathak, singer Guru Randhawa too shared his wishes for the birthday boy.

Speaking fondly about his childhood days, he said that his childhood was filled with playing cricket in his village day in and day out but his favourite memory was of meeting 'Dhoni Bhai'.

In 2016, a film was also made on his Dhoni's life starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Kiara Advani and Disha Patani. 

'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' was a blockbuster and went on to earn more than Rs 130 crore at the box office.
